Each of the locations listed below make great stopping points and there are hundreds of other stunning places to take a bite and a break. If you get tired, ferries and buses have stops along the way.

Balmoral Beach for a Lazy Afternoon

Balmoral Beach looks out over North Head and is perfect to enjoy a quiet day on the sand or grass. Try a café or seafood shop along the Esplanade for lunch. The Balmoral ‘island’, connected to the beach by a sand bar and an attractive1930s bridge, is perfect for quiet contemplation. Shark nets protect swimmers on the northern side of the beach. During summer, regular performances of ‘Shakespeare by the Sea’ are held at the Rotunda in the park.

 North head

Ferries are available to and from Balmoral on weekends only. Buses go regularly to and from Spit Junction.
