Kindergarten

Centre Philosophy

We at Mosman Community Kindergarten, acknowledge each child's individuality, uniqueness and their diverse ethnic and cultural background.

Our Philosophy to teaching is based on the beliefs that young children learn through play. Our role as educators is to facilitate this learning through the presentation of a happy, safe and educational sound environment.

We provide a range of developmentally appropriate activities designed to cater for the individual needs and  interests of each child and aim to nurture and extend the whole child to his or her fullest potential.

Attendance and Operation

The kindergarten operates on a two day and a three day program.
Two groups attend at the same time. Each group consists of 20 children with one trained teacher and one assistant.

The Kindergarten's hours are
9.00am to 3.00pm - School term. Extended hours from 8.30am to 3.30pm.

The kindergarten also participates in the Child Care Rebate Scheme for those parents who work or study.
Fee subsidy is also available for those who are eligible.

Management Committee

A management committee is elected to manage the affairs of this kindergarten and consists of parents, community members and members of the Mosman Uniting Church.

All parents are eligible to join the committee.

Parents and family members are always welcome at the centre and are encouraged to discuss their children's needs in promoting healthy development.
